Michael N. Rock is the man behind Mele Ukulele... creating his unique style of art and music on the magical isle of Maui. He spends his time innovating his koa ukuleles...and harnessing his innate talent in lutherie.
Michael was born on April 14,1960 in Boston, Massachusetts. At the tender age of 15, he realized his passion in woodworking and began cabinetry and furniture making with his great-grandfather.
In his extensive travels around the country, he discovered the enchanting Hawaiian islands. In 1981, Michael moved to Maui and began his artistic endeavors here.

Handcrafted koa ukuleles by Tadashi Oguma of Hilo, Hawaii.
Aloha,
Welcome to our shop here at T.T. Ukulele's. We would like to show you all of the styles of wood that we use on our ukes. We try to change the look on all of the ukes that we sell to assure you that you will know that's your ukulele -- if it should get stolen or misplaced. All of our ukulele's are koa with different top sound boards: spruce, mango, lychee, kamani. All of our custom ukulele's are lifetime warranted. If it should lift or separate from it's joints, it will be repaired or replaced at our cost. Here's a little story of how I got introduced to the ukulele...

Tony Graziano Ukuleles
|
|
Handcrafted ukuleles in a variety of sizes and styles, including double neck and electric.
Thank you for joining us on the tour!
Here at Tony Graziano Ukuleles our goal is to create
the finest ukulele available, using quality materials
and attention to detail.
I have been building musical instruments since 1969.
I became interested in the Ukulele in 1978 , and then
in 1995, after several years of building both guitars
and Ukuleles, I began building Ukuleles almost
exclusively. I like to think of the ukulele as an
instrument of the millennium. It is compact, easy to
travel with, and brings joy to all who hear and play
them. I build all my Ukes myself here at my shop in
Santa Cruz, and build mainly custom instruments
using of the finest woods available. Click the
"Artists" link on the left for a look at some fine
musicians and the Graziano Ukuleles they play.

Ukelele World

Vintage and new ukuleles, parts, teaching methods, and supplies.
Ukuleles are really FUN instruments and easy to play. Ukes are fun for you and fun for your loved ones.... everyone can enjoy the uke! Your ukulele will be worth thousands in the fun it can bring you and your loved ones. But the secret key to this boundless treasure is by actually getting started playing and enjoying this instrument....
Ukes are really easy to play... but it does take some practice to get going. Sometimes people give up too easy and store the ukulele in a drawer, closet, or under the bed. This is a crime! Don't you be guilty of the this crime! The penalty for "storing" a uke is a lifetime without the hundreds of smiles that a uke can bring.
All children love the ukulele! All adults enjoy singing the old songs (the good ones... most have just 3 chords). And if you want to see the miracle of music, take a ukulele to a nursing home and play a couple of your parent's favorite songs. Read this from a customer...

Young Hand Crafted Ukuleles
|
|
Custom made ukes by Leonard Young. Includes models, pictures, sound samples, and links.
Hawaii is the home of the ukulele. It is also my home. I was born and raised in Hawaii. I learned the craft of making ukuleles in Hawaii.
Music has always been a part of my life. I still recall the first all plastic ukulele I got for Christmas. It came from Woolworth Department Store. I carried and played it constantly everywhere I went. I literally wore that ukulele out.
Now, 54 years later, I am playing a truly "great" ukulele. In the last ten years, more emphasis has been placed on achieving the quality of sound each instrument produces. Many different bracing designs were tried and evaluated. Then, in 1981, I designed and perfected the "steel-string" ukulele to give it the crisp, clear treble and bass tones I was searching for. As we also carry that same quality into our nylon string ukuleles, for traditional lovers, I am now pleased to say, 'We are there'.
