Greetings from TrumCor! In our twelfth year of business, TrumCor is setting new standards for quality and innovation as the premiere mute-maker for the world's finest brass players. Renowned soloists and players from the world's greatest orchestras across the globe use TrumCor mutes. Our mutes are a continuation of a fine tradition in mutes for brass instruments first developed by Frank DePolis. DePolis mutes were used by Ted Griffith as models for his eminently successful line of Ted Griffith Mutes. Later, William Cook and Walter Lawson made further improvements with Aulos Mutes, which TrumCor purchased in 1994.
TrumCor mutes are carefully hand-crafted. Our fiber mutes are made with wood and a specially formulated resonant fiber material. Our metal mutes are constructed from selected grades of aluminum and brass. They have been designed to produce a muted tone that is in tune, vibrant, warm and responsive. Legacy Straps was founded in 1972 as Leather Legacy. At that time, as the name suggests we made all types of leather goods and sold our wares at Arts and Crafts shows around the country. Being a guitar player myself, it was only natural for me to include guitar straps and musical accessory straps in our product line. The first guitar straps we made were custom hand tooled leather straps. Some were padded with sheepskin, others were just plain soft leather straps but in all cases they were designed to be comfortable. Comfortable guitar straps! What a concept. When I started looking around in various music stores at the guitar straps that were being offered I saw straps being made with paper thin leather ends, poor quality materials and shoddy workmanship. It was then that I decided to turn my attention to producing guitar straps. Straps unlike anything on the market. Straps with leather end made only of highest quality materials. Straps that were soft and comfortable in unique designs. Not long after the introduction of our Leather Straps we introduced a line of polypropylene straps(poly straps). These straps that are still in production today are available in thirteen different colors. As word of our guitar straps spread thru the local music stores we saw other needs for comfortable straps. From the poly guitar strap the line expanded to include a neoprene padded guitar strap called the Ultra guitar strap. The Ultra guitar strap is undoubtedly one of the most comfortable straps on the market today. I designed it for heavy guitars like Les Pauls, and heavy basses and banjos. The shoulder pad is made of a soft pliable comfortable pad of neoprene foam rubber. This is reinforced with a two inch cotton web for added strength and form. There is a separate sub section of the Ultra that is made of a high quality stretch elastic material to allow the strap to stretch. The combination of the neoprene padded shoulder pad and the stretch make the Ultra Guitar strap one of the most comfortable guitar straps on the market today. Next came the saxophone straps. The neoprene pad material was perfect for the neckpad of a saxophone strap. It was soft, comfortable, and high quality. Our Saxophone strap line has grown to include a stretch padded saxophone strap, a baritone saxophone strap and our Comfort king sax strap. The Comfort king neck pad is made of a different type of foam which is super soft.

Brian Charles, Co-owner and Director, a Juilliard trained double reed player and long-time professional performer, founded Charles Double Reed Company in 1984. A Montreal native, and long time New Yorker, Brian moved from Manhattan to Northern New Hampshire in 1994, and after a lengthy acclimation period, has become a strange mix of country boy and city boy. His 1952 Ferguson tractor is the latest obsession, coming close on the heels of the last obsession, a chain saw. He is a published composer and has recently begun working on new pieces mixing acoustic and synthetic elements.
Sarah Charles, Co-owner, is the financial wizard of the company. In addition to juggling Euros, answering phones and leading our sometimes weekly exercise routines, she is a creative in and outdoors woman, with aspirations of continued rock climbing, skiing, hiking and felting.
Michael Felber, seemlessly merges his many talents into our inventory and shipping departments. A New York native and long time North Country resident, he and his wonderful wife Tina own Milo, possibly the largest dog in the universe.
Jennifer L. is the sweet voice and powerful intellect behind our daily operations, including computer, accounting, orders, and many other technical areas. She is currently learning sign language, and keeps extremely busy with her twin boys, Zack and Tyler.
