22. Didgeridoos By Vince

Painted didgeridoos made by a UK-based artist. Includes artists statement and email address.
"I"ve been painting all kinds of surfaces for about four decades. I made my first didge in '92 and ever since I have had a lot of fun making, painting and playing my didges. I started by trying to make my next didge better than the last one and I"m still trying to do that.
I take a lot of care to make didges that are easy to play and toot. High pitched didges I like to make with a large bell to give a fuller sound. The shape and appearance are very important to me. A didge should not only sound good but should be aesthetically pleasing. All my didges are waxed and varnished to protect the paintwork.

23. Toot and Hoot

Acoustic plastic Dijiri-tube brand. Includes breathing and playing guides, product details, and sound samples. United States.
The didgeridoo is a primitive instrument, created and played by the aborigines of northern Australia. Also called a chanting tube, the didgeridoo is typically made from the stringy bark or woolleybutt eucalyptus sapling, and hollowed by termites or white ants. The instrument is used to accompany singing and dancing primarily in 'open' non-secret ceremonies, such as those used for sunsets, clan songs, funerals, camp entertainment and children's songs.
