Tunable goatskin bodhrans for amateurs and professionals.
There are three basic drums in the world; tubular, kettle and frame. The Bodhrán is a frame drum. It can come in many sizes and guises. Our drum sizes are 15 or 19 inches by 4 inches deep. The cross bar is made of 3/8 inch maple dowling. The normal drum has one bar that is placed about 2 inches below the playing surface and is set a bit off center. Two cross bars are provided on request. The rims are made of two 3.8" inch layers of bendable plywood. The inner layer is made of one strip of 1/8 inch birch plywood. The outside is veneered with assorted exotic woods... |
