Theremins have been around for many years but recently they have became popular with bands playing many different kinds of music - the strange eerie sounds that a theremin puts out can be really spooky or even sound like a human voice with an experienced player.
Our theremin is capable of sounds ranging from high end shrieks down to thick growls at the low end. It is played by the motion of your hands around the antennas so it is the only music played without actually touching the instrument. The vertical telescopic antenna is for pitch and the horizontal disk is for volume.
Music output is via rca socket so you can connect the theremin to an amplifier, home stereo or PC sound card. There is also a surprisingly loud built in speaker for practice sessions. |
